St Joseph's KP Collective

Parents and carers from within our community make an extremely valuable contribution to St Joseph's through the St Joseph's KP Collective. Their involvement and support play a significant role in enhancing the school environment and fostering a strong, connected community.

The St Joseph's Primary School - Kangaroo Point Family and Community Engagement Committee (St Joseph's KP Collective) exists to support the school community and is actively involved in the total life of the school. As first educators of their children, parents and carers have a vital collaborative role to play in the development and implementation of the educational philosophy and policy of the school.

Regular meetings of the association are held and advertised  in the school newsletters. These meetings, which take place in the evening, provide an excellent opportunity to build new friendships with other parents and carers, share ideas, and stay informed about what is happening within the school community. They also offer a platform for parents to voice their perspectives and contribute to decision-making processes that impact their children's education.

Throughout the year, the St Joseph's KP Collective helps to facilitate various fundraising events and activities aimed at supporting school programs, enhancing facilities, and enriching the educational experiences of all students. The KP Collective plays a key role in supporting and empowering parents and carers who actively volunteer and wish to lead or participate in events. By providing guidance, resources, and a supportive network, the Collective enables parents to take ownership of events and contribute in ways that suit their interests and availability.

In 2025, the KP Collective's fundraising focus is on supporting the development of two new playgrounds, which will provide safe, engaging, and imaginative play spaces for all students. This initiative highlights the Collective's commitment to enhancing the learning environment and promoting an active, healthy lifestyles.

The KP Collective relies on the generosity and involvement of volunteers, and there are many opportunities for parents and carers to participate and make a difference. Whether it's helping at events, joining sub-committees, or offering new ideas, every contribution is valuable and appreciated.

Our St Joseph's KP Collective can be contacted at pkanpnf@bne.catholic.edu.au. We encourage all parents and carers to get involved, share their talents, and help make a positive impact on our school community.

Everyone is welcome, and we look forward to meeting new faces and working together to create a supportive and vibrant school environment for our children.
